24-Hour Backpacking Trip (Thurs morning – Friday morning)
Kick off Women’s Outdoor Weekend with this immersive 24-hour thru-hike course designed for beginner backpackers. This workshop will begin on Thursday, November 13th at 10:00 AM. Led by an experienced backpacker, this hands-on experience will cover the essentials of backpacking—what to pack, what to avoid, safety tips, and how to prepare for your own adventures on the trail. Participants must bring their own gear and supplies, as this course is designed to simulate a real backpacking experience.

Get started with the basics of navigation in this beginner-friendly orienteering workshop. You'll learn how to read a compass, interpret maps, and build confidence finding your way through the wilderness. This session lays the foundation for Orienteering 102, but can also be taken on its own.
Please note: Orienteering 101 is a required prerequisite for attending the 102 workshop.

Put your navigation skills to the test in this hands-on follow-up to Orienteering 101. You’ll take what you learned in the first session and apply it out on the trail—using your compass and map to navigate through the woods and reach your destination.
Please note: Orienteering 101 is a required prerequisite for this workshop. Participants may choose to take 101 without continuing on to 102.

Wildly Nourished (DIY snacks & hydration)
Description goes hereFuel your next adventure with this hands-on, 90-minute workshop focused on outdoor nutrition. Rotate through three interactive stations: build your own trail mix, craft real-food energy bites, and mix up a natural electrolyte drink using mineral-rich, hydrating ingredients. Each station is paired with a casual talk and Q&A on how to nourish your body for movement, energy, and time on the trail. Wildly Nourished is approachable, fun, and empowering with snacks and drinks you can enjoy on-site or take to-go!

Grounding in Nature (Yoga + Forest Therapy)

This self-defense workshop is designed to equip women with practical skills and greater confidence for solo adventures. You'll learn techniques to help you feel more prepared and empowered on the trail. Start with the 101 beginner session, and if you're ready to dive deeper, join us later for the 102 advanced course.

Join a naturalist for a scenic and educational hike along the Carrick Creek Loop in Table Rock State Park. As you explore this beautiful 2-mile loop trail, you’ll learn about the region’s native plants, wildlife, and unique ecosystems. This guided hike is a great way to deepen your connection with nature while enjoying one of the park’s most iconic and accessible routes. (easy - moderate intensity)
